Tell me honestly whats the main thing you want (other than more money!) in your business? Is it clarity? Or perhaps you’d like to raise your energy or motivation?
I’m going to get real here.
The main thing that you’re more than likely missing if you’re not getting the results that you desire is energy.
If you’ve been reading my posts for a while then you’ll know how much of a huge energy advocate I am but if you’re new to me (hi and welcome!) then this may sound a little out there but stick with me there’s gold here I promise.
So if we get down to the dirty truth the facts are that people buy based on energy.
They buy based on whether they like you, resonate with you, whether they feel they can trust you and yes whilst great copy and marketing helps with that – that’s only the vehicle.
People buy from people based on their energy.
It’s like an unspoken seventh sense that we all have – we just dang well know when someone is being authentic, when we like them, whether they’re the right person for us and within milliseconds we’ve already determined our next steps with them.
Take for example the people you follow on social media – I’ve personally been following a great deal of people in the personal development world for the past 7 years or so and I can hand on heart tell you that the main people I always check in on are those who’s energy I love.
It’s nothing to do with their content – their knowledge is great, they deliver that content in a way thats fun and easy to understand but heck, they’re just really freaking great people.
And thats the basis of it.
I resonate with their energy.
If we look at energy from the other point of view – from our own standpoint – raising your energy is also what you need to cultivate if you want clarity, motivation, if you want to get into productivity, into clear communication, into creativity and lets face it – it’s all of those things that we need in order to move forward in our lives and businesses and get the results that we want.
So you can see – taking care of your own energy – raising your energy levels – really is crucial to your success.
And no I’m not going to tell you to go run 10k every day to do it don’t panic!
But self care, taking care of your own wellness and well being is absolutely core to your business success BECAUSE so much of it hinges on our own energy.
Energy is core to the outcomes that you’re able to achieve and manifest in your life.
Energy is core to the motivation, productivity and momentum you can gain.
Energy is core to the sales that you’re able to make.
Energy is core to the connections and communications you’re able to have in your relationships.
Energy is core to how you show up in the world.
Energy is core to our ability to manifest from the quantum field.
Energy is core to the amount of enjoyment we’re able to get from our lives.
And with all of that said, here is a 5 step coaching exercise for you so that you can review and raise your energy and contribute to your own wellness through the knowledge that on a daily basis you’re not only taking care of your own well being and mental / emotional health, but you’re growing your business, moving forward with your life and contributing to others too.
Your 5 step coaching exercise to raise your energy, increase your motivation and up your productivity
Step 1: Lets Review
Sit down for a moment and tell me how you’re feeling – on a daily basis are you waking up and still feeling tired?
Are you feeling joyous, excited and motivated for the day ahead?
Or are you feeling a little trepidation?
Are you proactive or reactive to most of the things that happen throughout your day or business?
Knowing where we are allows us to take stock, becoming aware of where we could create a few tweaks and changes to improve things.
Step 2: Now you know how you’re feeling on a daily basis tell me:
What are your habits like around:
Rate them on a scale of 1-10 (10 being great) and then write down how you could improve on these areas – what is it you could do to live or feel better? they don’t need to be huge things – the big changes we want to create in our lives or businesses come from small incremental tweaks.
Step 3: Now you have the action steps to put into place to help you move into increased energy, lets take a look at how your mental and emotional wellbeing is:
Do you feel like you’re showing up as the best version of yourself on a daily basis?
If not how have you been feeling?
If you’ve been feeling as though you’re hustling and faking it – this has long term damage on your personal confidence, perception of self, self trust and self esteem.
If you’ve been feeling as though you’re pushing but not getting where you want and are feeling a bit unmotivated – this is a symptom of being misaligned and not being in congruence with your self.
So how have you been feeling?
Do you feel as though you’re able to show up as your best self on a daily basis? Give it a rating from 0-10 (10 being great) and write down where it is you’re feeling it the most – is it just in business or is it in life too? Are you doing things you feel obliged to do or are you staying true to your desires and best use of your time? Are you communicating well with your audience and in your personal relationships or are you hiding?
These journal prompts are HUGE for revealing where it is you may not be in alignment with your self and how you can create shifts in your life that really help you move forward.
Step 4: With your answers in mind create a list of the small tweaks that could really make a difference to your energy and therefore your motivation, productivity and outcomes in life and business.
For example: If you’re waking up feeling tired, unmotivated, a little scattered – get some more sleep, try going to bed a little earlier, waking up earlier, moving your body a little more and building out your vision of what exactly you want to create in this world, with your business, for your self / family. Take a look at how you’re being – whether you’re being true to yourself, to your heart and values. Clarity creates confidence, confidence breeds courage, courage brings action and action brings results.
And don’t forget to check over these tweaks and give yourself some grace – this exercise isn’t about judging where you’ve been and how you have been living, its about creating a new way of being so that you can create the outcomes that you really want.
Step 5: Implement the tweaks!
Hold yourself accountable – tell someone else and ask them to help hold you accountable, set alarms on your phone to remind you to get to freaking bed a bit earlier or to set aside some time to journal or communicate with your loved ones, to eat well or cook yourself a nutritious meal rather than eating on the run.
Believe it or not cultivating the most basic things in your life – the things that are crucial to your existence (eating well, sleeping well, being true to who you are) – really do create radical change in your energy, in your wellness, your well being and in your business.
